For You, Sitting There ~

by Jelal'uddin Rumi

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.

Don't go back to sleep.

For me? Are you talking to me?

Thanks for the prompt.

By the way, lovely photo!

From the same poem -- and probably my favorite lines of all time:

"...Let the beauty we love
be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways
to kneel and kiss the ground."

Indeed, indeed.

and that was the other one I considered for 'next time' - but since you've got it rolling, and since you are the one who has reminded me, shark, repeatedly -- for you, for us. Here y'are.

thanks for playin' along, keeping the ball rollin', reading my mind etc, etc..

And SW, here's for you also --- For all of us >>>

you know one has to be ready to appreciate a gift as it's given. I want to take time to savor it.....as in tasting the sweetness of the pale lavender iris, to touch the breeze of the dawn. I wasn't ready for a while but now I am. Thank you ep.
