Flower and Song: the flowers - the gifts we receive; the songs - our offerings we leave behind. These are my public markings of both, offered in gratitude.

Renewal
again, the blossoms open, fade, die, no hurry. come, sit next to me.
it's amazing how many haiku from the old guys, Basho and others, was written about peony blossoms. After sitting in the peony garden I get why - for the ahhhh effect.
Had to peek in to see what you were up to. My peonies are almost gone, but I'm savoring picture of the last few. I like to give them to others, and it always surprises me how much they make others smile.
This haiku tells such a story -- even without the beautiful picture.
